Being in Present Moment....

Many a times we sit aside a room and think of all the days, months and years that are passed. We think of all the happy and sad moments that came along our way. With all these thoughts flushing in our minds we get either happy, sad or fearful in our present moment and the same applies for our future thoughts too. For some reason or I should say unconsciously we get involved in the thoughts  and our feelings are converted in the same manner. Here, the irony is, that we behave in our present moment just like the way we felt while in our thoughts, which means my present happiness or mood is now been jailed by my past or future thoughts. To our surprise! We in our maximum routine do not stay in the present moment (Just check!) So now… here is the question how do I stay in my present moment? Do the level of my happiness, productivity, efficiency or effectiveness really depends on my being into the present moment? The answer is YES! It is very well said, ”Do not be the prisoner of ...

Shifting from "Time pass" to Time spend

Shifting from ‘Time Pass’’ to ‘Time Spend’ Uff God! Why on this earth is my day not getting over? Why is the time passing so slowly? This is a question which generally our young generation today keep on asking themselves.  For some reason, it is getting difficult for them to spend/pass their whole day or should I say they are searching for some “time pass”!  I have many times heard students using the word “lets attend the xyz session”or else “lets meet xyz person it feels good to be with him/her, will learn something  and it will ‘pass’ our time also”. There are two aspects in the above sentences, one is that the students are going somewhere, where they will get to learn something or gain knowledge but they perceive it as “Time pass” and another aspect is that even if they value the place /person and they know it will help them for learning, but they are so habituated to the word “time pass” that they do not even understand the difference between “spending time” and ...

Freedom

A few days back, when my little friend Kalyani and I were out for evening walk, she simply asked me “ Tai how do you define freedom? If someone says I am a free bird what does the person actually mean by that?” I stopped for a moment looked at her and started walking again without uttering a single word. For few minutes, she eagerly waited for my answer and when she felt that I am not bothering to answer her question, she prompted me. I gave her a blank look. Confused! Kalyani tried to understand what was I up to and finally got irritated and confirmed with me “Are you going to answer my question now or not?” I calmly said “no”. Shockingly she asked “why not!? I want to hear the answer right now, please. I am getting impatient, at least tell me a bit about it. Later part even if you explain me tomorrow it’ll be fine with me. While she was getting stubborn I very calmly asked her “why do you need the answer “now”, wait for 1-2 days will explain you thoroughly. She got more impati...

Breath!

Watch your breath!! If we do not check our breath before taking any action it becomes our reaction, however if we check our breath before acting upon something it becomes our response. There is a major difference between reacting and responding. So respond and do not react. Hence, Sit. Take a long breath, relax, take action and then experience the feeling of  responding from your side!!! You will Surely love it... Good Day!!

Anger

Anger is good, if we use it in channelised way. Anger if used positively gives magical results. So sit back, breath, wait and then respond. Bingo! You got the answer!!!!
