Being in Present Moment....

Many a times we sit aside a room and think of all the days, months and years that are passed. We think of all the happy and sad moments that came along our way. With all these thoughts flushing in our minds we get either happy, sad or fearful in our present moment and the same applies for our future thoughts too. For some reason or I should say unconsciously we get involved in the thoughts  and our feelings are converted in the same manner. Here, the irony is, that we behave in our present moment just like the way we felt while in our thoughts, which means my present happiness or mood is now been jailed by my past or future thoughts. To our surprise! We in our maximum routine do not stay in the present moment (Just check!)
So now… here is the question how do I stay in my present moment? Do the level of my happiness, productivity, efficiency or effectiveness really depends on my being into the present moment? The answer is YES!
It is very well said,”Do not be the prisoner of past but be an architect of your future. Hmmm… sounds easy, but is it really so with all our past and future thoughts that are continuously flowing in our minds? Certainly yes! But when we think about it practically rather, it is a bit struggle; but with conscious efforts we can!
I will share what I follow when I am stuck in my past or future. I simply give my thoughts a desired amount of time. I consciously take out time and sit with myself, think of all the thoughts that were disturbing me, sometimes I also write down on my thoughts and analyze whether these thoughts are  beneficial or productive to me in future to invest my further time and feelings. Accordingly  the further decision is made. That means, I take out deliberate amount of time to give an effective amount of time on my thoughts those are disturbing me in my present may it be any, the magic that takes place is,  my mind gets time to flush out of my mind the thoughts and feelings once and for all and my feelings are then channelized in a proper direction at a proper time, which helps me remain charged, productive and efficient in my daily routine and work place.
It simply means, that usually I am present wherever I am. And when I am not, it’s only when, I take a conscious decision of not to be in present but to be in past or future thoughts.
Friends..It is important to give a valuable time to our past or future thoughts also because those are integral part of our life and in this case, why not give them a conscious valuable  time by taking out a deliberate time slot. Yes, but there is an another angle to this thought also that if the thoughts are painful they should be less entertained as compared to the positive ones.
We have been gifted with one life and the reality is that it just moves on. So, just go with the flow; it will definitely give you a second chance and be happy always!!

The secret of Effective Communication

At the entrance of my college when I was parking my car, I heard someone calling desperately “Madam please wait, it’s me here.” I turned back casually realizing the person approaching towards me.   To my surprise, the person was from an entrepreneurship cell whom I had met just once while taking interviews of students. In a rush, he pleaded me to take communication skills session for engineering students for just an hour the same day!! Awkwardness struck me, as in such a situation while I was getting late for my own session waiting in the parking area trying to park my car, I had   to tell him that it will not be possible for me to manage at such a peak hour on such a short notice. And, I did it! I said a sharp no to him. However, he continued saying he would call me later and talk, once I am done taking my first two-hour session. Eventually, I agreed half-halfheartedly to conduct the session on communication skills which is a vast topic to be covered in an hour. Befo...
